I joined Itiviti following a career as a consultant, including working for some of our customers. My day by day assignments span a wide range from urgent client issues that may appear during the day to working on large-scale development projects. We build solutions that are really innovative, high performing and in line with technology trends applied to the finance world. At Itiviti, there are no limitations for good ideas.
To me, Itiviti is like a big multicultural family with common goals that encourages collaboration and where your opinion is respected.
I work with the Swedish FIX infrastructure entities on a number of accounting-related tasks such as billing, vendor and customer payments, taxes, reporting, intercompany questions, all types of accounting bookings, etc. Questions from both inside the organization and outside also have a big impact on my day at the office.
I enjoy the wide variety of tasks – there are always different things that happen, new decisions and rules to be implemented, etc.
Also, being a part of Itiviti, a global leading company, and support the sales organization so they can do their job as best as they can. The daily interaction with different people from all over the world. I also have great colleagues, can’t ask for better ones. Our culture feels young and vibrant. We have grown, and a lot has happened since I first joined the company in 2012 but I think we still have that “small company feeling” where you can have a personal connection with your colleagues around the globe, which I find important.
My main interest is pure mathematics, especially mathematical physics. It is very interesting to investigate some pure models with only three instruments: a pen, a piece of paper and a mind. I am involved with functions of our system such as volatility managers, pricing and market making. These are based on complex financial mathematical models and require sophisticated logic to satisfy customers’ demands.
After the university, I was looking for a job where I could work for people and apply my advanced mathematical skills. Itiviti gave me this opportunity. I was immediately impressed by the atmosphere in the company: every day you meet with a large group of smart people with different views, who are all doing their best.
I’m responsible for Itiviti’s testing tool products, including Professional Services projects and gateway testing automation for Tbricks by Itiviti market gateways using our testing tools. I joined the company after college in 2007, and have been part of what is today Itiviti since then. It’s been quite an exciting journey from being a fresh graduate engineer to AVP Global Services today, and very challenging too. It gives me immense satisfaction to see customers using our solutions for the benefit of their business and to see our products making an impact on their growth and revenue.
Itiviti offers a friendly platform to learn, demonstrate and voice your opinion, which makes it easy for colleagues to contribute their opinions and suggestions, embrace criticism or feedback in the right spirit. Although people come from different cultures and countries, we all share a common focus and goals.
My job is to find out more about what our customers think about us, and to make sure their feedback reaches back into our organization. I do everything from face-to-face customer interviews to designing and analyzing online surveys. I find it very exciting to dig deeper to understand what really makes our customers tick.
I also really enjoy the cross-functional interactions with colleagues in all parts of Itiviti, from Services to Sales and Engineering, whether in St. Petersburg, Mumbai, Chicago, Hong Kong, London or Stockholm. Itiviti is a product of many mergers and as a result, a mix of company cultures and nationalities. I think the common denominator is a sense of pride in what we do — you may even call it a quest for excellence.
I manage and execute the regional Asia-Pacific marketing plan and support Itiviti’s global marketing projects according to sales and company strategy. I work closely with the sales organization, internal teams and external partners for brand awareness and lead generation campaigns. The most enjoyable part of my job is to see the results of all marketing activities. I also like to explore new digital platforms and technology, which can help Itiviti’s marketing to measure and improve campaign performance.
Catching up with latest industry developments is a challenge but also a fun part of my job. FinTech is a very competitive industry and each market is unique. At Itiviti, we are open for changes, act fast and stay focused. We are encouraged to share ideas and thoughts, and work together as a team to solve issues and achieve stated goals.
