Catalys by Itiviti 2.1 performance white paper

June 22, 2016

What we’ll cover:

The actual observed performance of a FIX engine, like the Catalys Node by Itiviti, depends on several parameters (environment, configuration, message load, message size, processing complexity) and can be measured against multiple criteria (latency, throughput, outliers). It is therefore difficult to give simple answers to questions like: “How fast is your FIX engine?”, “How many messages can it process per second?” and other similar questions because there is no single answer which covers all possible usages and environments. Our recommendation is always that customers and prospective customers benchmark in the context of their specific requirements and in their specific environments to determine whether their own performance targets are met. However, there are a few well known patterns of usage for which performance can be fairly well characterized.
